The AAD170CE features a grand dreadnought body shape with an Advanced Access cutaway, a solid Sitka spruce top with X-M bracing and okoume back and sides with a low gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a wooden multi rosette with binding and the top is bordered with black binding. It has a low oval grip Thermo-aged nyatoh neck with a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard with a rounded edge and small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a scalloped ovangkol bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, a red tortoise pickguard and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of an AP11 magnetic pickup mounted at the end of the fretboard, an Ibanez Custom Electronics pre-amp with volume and tone controls and a ¼" end-pin output.
