Experience:

I have been active as a professional musician for 38 years and have been providing professional
instruction to aspiring musicians for 35 years. I have performed onstage internationally and in
music festivals all over North America playing rock, jazz, blues and several other styles of music.
I have performed with hundreds of different ensembles and papers on many professional
recordings over the years.

Ages Taught:

8 and up.

 INSTRUMENTS THAT I TEACH
• I teach beginner to advanced lessons on Electric & Acoustic Bass, Electric & Acoustic
Guitar, Classical Guitar, Ukulele, Banjo, Mandolin, etc. I teach virtually all plucked
string instruments for all styles of music.
• I also teach Songwriting, Composition and Music Theory.

LESSON LENGTH & FREQUENCY
• I prefer to have all students schedule at least one lesson per week.
• Full hour lessons are preferred. Half hour lessons could be scheduled upon consultation
with the student.

PAYMENT
• I charge $50.00 per hour / $25.00 per half hour. I accept cash or checks.
• This fee is all-inclusive. I will provide the student with all the required learning
materials. A pocket folder or 3-ring binder will be helpful to keep these materials
organized. The student will be required to bring these materials with them to every
lesson.
• All students must pay for at least one lesson in advance. Payment will be due at the
beginning of each lesson.
• I prefer students to pay for a month’s with of lessons at a time. Payment will be due at
the beginning of the last lesson of the preceding month.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
• I have a strict 24 hour notification policy. Students must notify me about all
cancellations and rescheduling at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson. Failure to do
so will result in the forfeiture of payment for that lesson. I, the instructor, will be held to
the same requirement.
• Same-day unscheduled practice sessions or games pertaining to after-school sports that
conflict with a scheduled lesson will result in the forfeiture of that lesson payment.
• Exceptions are typically made for dangerous driving conditions due to inclement
weather. Please call, text or email me as soon as possible in these situations.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• All students or their parents/guardians are required to contact me before the first lesson
to assess the experience and skill level of the student.
• I prefer to make this contact over the phone or by email. Please avoid texting for this
initial contact.
